Animals that will provide young offspring so that families can make use of the blessings these beautiful creatures provide! My mission during this blessed month of Dhul Hijjah is to provide 50 families with 50 livestock gifts! • This program will reach vulnerable families in rural areas of Pakistan. Pakistan has been hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic. Please consider a donation of less than $200 to help the poorest population of that country. May this weigh heavy on your scales when there will be no shade but His.

Why Goats? 

Goats are a key to ending poverty. 

Since goats require less space and feed than cattle, they can be owned even by the landless. Goats demonstrate significant return on investment by providing milk, meat, manure, cash, savings, and status. Families living in poverty are more likely to own goats rather than cattle. Therefore, support for goat-keeping can be a valuable entry point into the sort of income generation that chips away at poverty.

Impact: Over 700 benefit today

Over the past three years, Penny Appeal USA has provided +160 goats to villages throughout Pakistan, benefitting +760 individuals with, all of which are women-led households. Today, these goats have provided their proud owners with a financial stability and secure the future of their children. 

Stories from the field: Kalsoom Bibi

Kalsoom Bibi is a recipient of the livestock gifts program in Pakistan. Within 15 days of the distribution, the goats birthed an offspring. When asked what impact these goats have on the livelihood of their families, they responded: “Our children are able to drink milk twice a day and will stay healthy. It is a sigh of relief for our family to know that we can start over a new life now.”
