The Importance of Donating Qurbani

Qurbani is not only a requirement upon all able Muslims, but it carries great meaning, representing the sacrifice that Prophet Ibraham (as) was prepared to make in honour of our Creator.

Many are those who cannot afford meat a single day throughout the year.

For countless deprived people, the pleasure of eating meat is only possible once a year.

Your Qurbani, helps us fight against malnutrition & hunger.

Who It Helps

People who receive meat include widows, orphans, the destitute, the elderly, people with disabilities in Malawi, Pakistan & Bangladesh.

Generally people who cannot afford to buy meat often and whose diets are lacking in calories and nutrition.

- 1 Goat feeds 10 families with 70 individuals

- 1 Cow feeds approximately 22 families with 150 individuals

Animals are slaughtered on Eid ul Adha and all meat is distributed to poor people who are not able to purchase animal for qurbani. 

How Many Do I Give?

You can give one on behalf of your entire family, or you can give more. Many donors choose to give one Qurbani gift on behalf of each family member — or sometimes in honour of relatives who have passed away, so they can receive the reward.
