Gaza: What Happened Last Year?

Gaza was attacked last year in the final stretch of Ramadan. Since the attack, HCI has immediately sent aid. This year, join us in an effort to continue rebuilding Gaza and providing support to families in need ahead of, and during Ramadan. 

Food Assistance

There are thousands of families who are still feeling the effects of last Ramadan's attack on Gaza. Families lost their homes, their belongings, their jobs, and their loved ones whom they depended on for support. Ramadan is here, and HCI is distributing food packs to families in need to ensure that they have a hearty meal for Iftar each and every day of the month. 

What's In the Food Basket?

These baskets provide families with essentials to meet their needs for an entire month. It contains items such as 

• rice
• sugar
• cooking oil
• beans
• tomato sauce
• halwa
• tahini
• lentils
• freekeh
• hummus cans
• canned meat
• powder milk
• dates
• flour
• tuna cans
• pasta
• salt
• tea
• chicken broth
• frozen vegetables.

Home Repair

The U.N. data shows that along some 140 square miles, 459 buildings were destroyed or damaged, some of which were near hospitals, clinics and schools. HCI has conducted home repairs in the past ahead of winter months to help keep families safe and warm. But, more helps is needed to get families back on their feet. 

Medical Aid

The Gaza strip's hospitals are always in need of medical supplies, equipment, medicine, and more to meet the healthcare needs of the population. With your support, hospitals can operate at full capacity and look after patients who are sick, injured, or need medical advice. 

Water Infrastructure

Men, women, and children in Gaza suffer from a lack of access to clean drinking water. Join HCI in an effort to build more desalination units in Gaza to provide fresh, clean drinking water for more residents. 

In Islam, the reward of the person who provides water to the poor, the needy, and the thirsty is immense. ‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]

The Impact of your Donations
