​The Yemen Crisis

At this very moment, the country of Yemen now hosts the world's largest human-induced food security crisis. And it doesn't stop there. 

19.7 million people are deprived of basic healthcare. 

Almost 18 million people are in need of water & sanitation facilities. 

Over 3 million people have been left displaced by conflict. 

24 million people require humanitarian aid across Yemen, the global Islamic Relief family is able to reach only 4 million people. Every single dollar donated by you, increases the amount of children, elders, and the vulnerable, Islamic Relief is able to assist.

Through your support, Islamic Relief is able to provide immediate food supplies, clean water, hygiene kits and medical supplies, as well as focus on recovery through sustainable agriculture and dignified income opportunities.

We’re working to save lives through our Yemen emergency appeal. Islamic Relief is distributing food across a wide area and providing food to 2 million people every month. We’ve also 167 health facilities across the country to enable doctors and nurses working to treat wounded, sick and malnourished people. We have also been working to support children through child protection and psycho-social support activities.

​Our Work on the Ground

Islamic Relief is currently on the ground in 17 of the country’s 22 governorates, delivering aid to many hard-to-reach areas. Our country office is in the capital, Sana’a, and we have eight sub-offices in Dhamar, Amran, Aden, Taiz, Hodeida, Saada, Maarib and Rymah.

Our teams are providing essential food aid to families at risk of famine and facing extensive food insecurity.
